a2b Fulfillment, a third-party logistics provider with a specialty in consumer-direct order fulfillment and customer service, becomes a corporate sponsor of the Greene County Boys and Girls Club. “a2b Fulfillment is proud to help sponsor the activities of this fine organization” offered Ayal Latz, President of a2b Fulfillment, Inc. “The Boys and Girls Club offers many needed, valuable programs for our communities’ youth,” added Latz. “We love their saying, ‘Many doors open. These doors transform.’”

The Greene County Boys and Girls Club, founded in June 2011 has a goal that each member will graduate from high school on time, be ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st century career. The club provides a safe place for members to spend time in non-school hours. A professional staff, along with community volunteers, mentor and guide the young members as they grow.

Programs include a popular after-school program, offering 230 students aged 6-14, a place to stay after school and receive additional tutoring and mentoring. During this “Power Hour” students benefit from homework help, dabble in art, enjoy recreational activities and have computer time. A certified teacher and hard-working support staff ensure the time spent is beneficial and productive for club members. Within one year of operation, the Greene County Boys and Girls Club boasts the highest daily attendance of all clubs in North Central Georgia, according to the Lake Oconee Breeze, January 16, 2012.

The Boys and Girls Club also offers a summer camp program, the “Ultimate Journey” at Camp Kiwanis. Members learn about the environment and human impact on it. Members engage in kayaking, fishing, swimming and orienteering. Team building activities allow Members to meet new friends and learn lessons that ultimately become a journey of self-discovery. And The Fifth Quarter, or Tigers Overtime program, provides a space to go after home football games.

Recently a dozen youth from the Boys and Girls Club visited the a2b Fulfillment facility in Greensboro, GA and were treated to a tour. “We showed club members what a2b does, how we interact with our customers and what we do to excel as a business,” explained Latz. “The kids were fascinated at the diversity of activities that take place at a2b. They saw first-hand what type of skills a business needs today,” Latz commented.

At the end of the visit each club member received a Halloween gift box from a2b Fulfillment.

“a2b intends to maintain a strong relationship with the Boys and Girls Club. We believe in supporting the institutions of our community, to make it a better place for all,” emphasized Latz.
